Article Processing Charges (APC)

TUMI Oral Health applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 150 for manuscripts accepted for publication. This fee supports the journal’s editorial and production processes, including peer review management, professional copyediting, DOI assignment, long-term digital preservation, and online hosting.


Payment Conditions

  • No submission fees are charged at any stage of the process.

  • The APC is payable only after final acceptance of the manuscript.

  • Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions, which are based exclusively on scientific merit, methodological quality, and compliance with ethical standards.


Waiver and Discount Policy

To promote equity in scholarly publishing and facilitate global participation, TUMI Oral Health offers APC waivers and discounts based on the economic classification of the corresponding author’s country of affiliation, in accordance with internationally recognized income classifications issued by the World Bank.


List A — Full Waiver (100%)

Authors affiliated with institutions located in countries classified as low-income economies, including but not limited to:

Afghanistan, Burundi, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Yemen.


List B — Partial Discount (50%)

Authors affiliated with institutions located in countries classified as lower-middle-income economies, including but not limited to:

Bangladesh, Bolivia, Cameroon, Egypt, El Salvador, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Morocco, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Vietnam, Zambia.


Eligibility and Requests

  • Requests for waivers or discounts must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission.

  • Requests are evaluated independently of the peer review process, ensuring editorial neutrality.

  • Approval is based on the institutional affiliation and country of residence of the corresponding author.


Transparency and Editorial Independence

All decisions related to APCs, waivers, or discounts are managed by the Editorial Office and do not affect the peer review process or publication outcome. The journal remains committed to the highest standards of editorial independence, integrity, and academic quality.
